Whitehall Court is a Grade I listed block of luxury residential apartments in the City of Westminster. Designed in 1884 by Thomas Archer and A. Green, the building has been home to some very well-known residents including William Gladstone, Lord Kitchener and George Bernard Shaw to name a few. And up until the end of the First World War it was also the headquarters of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6).
As the building’s principal contractor, we had several missions to complete during the most recent phase of our work. We overhauled and replaced the mechanical and electrical systems for four lightwells. We Thermatech cleaned all Portland Stone and glazed brickwork. We also dismantled and re-built one of the stone chimney stacks, re-using much of the original stonework as well as the installing new stonework by our stone carving and fixing teams.
